Pool Doctor carries all major brands of cartridge, D.E and sand filters. Cartridge filters are the least expensive and the easiest to maintain, so they make up about 97% of the market. D.E. (Diatomaceous Earth) filters are the “best” filters because they remove particles as small as 4 microns (cartridge filters are limited to about 15 microns). Sand filters are limited to removing particles larger than 50 microns, and are becoming uncommon. We recommend the following filters:
