Automation will allow you to control pool and spa functions from inside your home with a control panel or a portable wireless remote:

• Control an overflow spa so you can push a button, the spa will be isolated, and the heater will go on.  You don’t have to go out to the equipment, turn valves, turn-on the pump and heater.  Push another button, and the spa air blower goes on.
• Some systems allow you to adjust the heater temperature setting.
• Water features such as fountains and spillover can be controlled with a button.
• Landscape lighting and dock lights can be controlled.

We currently recommend two automation systems:

Jandy AquaLink RS Control System Is the original and industry leading automation system. Is proven to be exceptionally reliable, and is the most capable system. Offers your choice of an indoor control panel or a wireless remote.
Hayward OnCommand Automation System Is the best value in an entry level automation system. Automates up to 4 features, 3 valves, heater and solar controls. Comes with a 6 button wireless remote.  Can be upgraded with the AquaPod controller which allows you to see the current water temperature and adjust it.

Many people who purchase automation add a salt system at the same time.  It steadily produces chlorine from salt allowing you to keep a much lower level of chlorine in the pool.  The advantage of a lower level or chlorine are no more red eyes, itchy skin, faded swimwear, green hair or chlorine odor.
